Nicola Blackwell

Nicola is a performer and theatremaker whose work spans acting, design and direction.

A small selection of performing credits includes: Market Boy (National Theatre), Herge's Adventures of Tintin (Barbican and West End), Strike Gently, Away From Body (Young Vic), You Hang Up First (Contact, Manchester), The Sound Collector (Sheffield Crucible). She has made and performed in a number of pieces by experimental company The People Show.

She co-runs Slot Machine Theatre, who make bold contemporary work for audiences of all ages.

Design credits (set and costumes) include: Down By the Greenwood Side (Brighton Festival), Létoile (New Sussex Opera), Boom (Theatre 503), Kipper's Snowy Day, Your Toys, The Boy, The Piano and The Beach (Slot Machine Theatre)
